Interview Systems

A unique aspect of the Polaris system is the automated production of interview guides based on candidates’ responses to the tests. These guides provide interviewers with two questions for each dimension assessed by the test. Computer-based algorithms select the questions in a manner that optimizes the value of the information they are likely to obtain. Each question contains:

  • A lead-in question
  • Follow-up questions
  • Evaluation standards

In addition to the computerized interview guides, Polaris can work with districts to construct tailored interview guides that complement the testing and allow the full spectrum of a candidate’s qualifications to be evaluated. The format for these guides can conform to and enhance pre-existing interview structures that the district already uses.
